Thank you to the St Albans Young Farmers for making 4 hedgehog houses!!!

Writer: Hedgehog SanctuaryHedgehog Sanctuary

The St Albans Young Farmers spent an evening helping us by making 4 hedgehog houses out of recycled materials. These hedgehog houses will be used to home some of the hedgehogs in rehabilitation at Hornbeam Wood Hedgehog Sanctuary. We have several soft release gardens used to temporarily house wild hedgehogs due for release back in to the wild, and these will make superb homes for them.

As you can see they were very busy! They did an amazing job and crafted very solid hedgehog homes that will last for years. A big thank you to Gill Hewis for organising this :D

Using a guide from a recent video we created on YouTube, they built 4 hedgehog homes out of old decking boards with felt roofs.
