I’m in need of some help with writing and applying for grants on behalf of the Charity.
It’s very hard for me to dedicate any more spare time as I simply don’t have any hours available left in the day. We are a small Charity and most of the day-to-day tasks involved in running the Charity are done by myself. Beyond the Charities core objectives of hedgehog rescues and rehabilitation there are a host of other activities I do such as admin, communication, organisation, awareness, education, socials, media, website, accounting, etc.. etc.. I’m basically maxed out and struggle to keep up or do any more activities/tasks. It has been exceptionally hard for me keeping up with everything over the covid period. We unfortunately also lost the help of other very kind volunteers over the past year. Most of the self generated funding was lost because of covid and we have been/are operating nearly 100% on very kind and generous Charitable donations.
I’ve not spent any time setting up a full recruitment process (so to speak) but I don’t need a detailed historical CV. I’m looking for someone who knows me in some way and has a grasp of what the Charity does, and why it’s existence is so important. The role would require some short report writing, mainly in the form of answering key questions set out in the grant application process. You would also need to undertake some research but much of that could be extracted from myself through knowledge transfer :P Beyond that, any experience with helping Charities gain funding through grants would of course be very handy. However, this is not essential.
We don’t have any paid employees, we are all volunteers, and this role would be undertaken out of the kindness of your heart. I’m not too sure how much time would be involved but it is likely to take up about 3-5 hours per week at most. There are times when there would be little to no time as grants seem to come about at set points within the year. You would need access to a computer, a document writing application, and the internet. At present Zoom type meetings, phone calls, and emails would be the main form of communication. However, as soon as we can, I would much prefer to meet in person, so being local would be of benefit!
We are looking for someone who can help asap. It’s pretty urgent we can hopefully find someone by the 16th of March 2021.
