New campaign to save British hedgehogs from extinction 5 News, with Hornbeam Wood Hedgehog Sanctuary

Writer: Hedgehog SanctuaryHedgehog Sanctuary

We recently had 5 News filming at Hornbeam Wood Hedgehog Sanctuary to help spread awareness about a new campaign to help save British hedgehogs from extinction.

Hedgehogs could become extinct if we don't take action. Experts say the population of the much-loved British creature is struggling partly because of an increase in road traffic.

Now one university has launched a study to see how we can save the animal - which could include building tunnels under our roads.

The filming was a few hours long and filmed at Hornbeam Wood Hedgehog Sanctuary and in Harpenden at Batford Springs Nature Reserve. It was edited down to a few minutes :D A big thank you to the film crew who did an amazing job with this segment and to Harpenden Council for their support.

I've also included a copy of the video in this post:

You can view it on YouTube if you missed the segment live https://youtu.be/XWTZyCOWYYg.
