LOOKING FOR QUOTES FOR HEDGEHOG GARDEN WORK BASED IN HARPENDEN, HERTFORDHSIRE [PLEASE SHARE]

Hi all,

If you know of anyone that would be interested in quoting for landscape/garden creation please share!

These are not fancy gardens, they are wild gardens and can be pretty messy but the sketch drawing is an example of what I was thinking.

The quote/work is to buy and plant the shrubs and install an enclosed wall around the entire plot (there are a total of 8 plots planned). It should also include creating the rock pond and path.

Initially we would like to start with one or two wild garden plots (as the sketch shows), then expand over time or when we are able to source funding for each of the future wild gardens.

All of these wild gardens will be inside an existing large pen with 6ft fencing on all sides (it's a large pen previously used for wallabies many years ago). This large pen is surrounded by old mature trees that overhang in to the pen.

We are looking to create up to 8 small wild gardens at the sanctuary. These gardens are completely for wild hedgehogs that we are unable to be release back in to the wild. Almost certainly hedgehogs that are blind and can not be fully released back in to the wild, but they may have other issues such as trauma injuries which leave them disabled. So a total of eight disabled hedgehogs with one wild garden each.

- Each wild garden is for one hedgehog.

- Each wild garden is about 9m x 5m in size (45/sq meters).

- Each wild garden will need to be enclosed and surrounded by a none climbable material such as metal sheeting used on roofs. But must be rust proof as they will need to be dug in to the earth. About 3ft tall.

- Each garden will have one front gated entrance.

- Each garden connects to one another via a second gated entrance.

- Once all 8 gardens are created they will be positioned together in a grid 2 x 4 thus a path will be needed between them all.

- The ground already has a mixed grass / stinging nettle / wild flower base to it which will be retained.

Thank you!

Martin
