Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust have very kindly invited us to this years Apple Day at Tewin :) We will be raising awareness of the troubles our hedgehogs are having and selling a few craft items to help raise funds for the charity.
Join us between 12pm-4.30pm on Sunday 6th October at Tewin Pavillion to celebrate this year's apple harvest from Tewin Orchard. Apple Day is celebrated across the UK in October as a celebration of orchards but also a demonstration of the variety we are in danger of losing, not simply in apples, but in the richness and diversity of landscape, ecology and culture.
Apple Day is a celebration of all things apple. There will be apples from the orchard for sale along with apple juice, tea, coffee and cake. Experts will be on hand to identify varieties of apple and provide advice on fruit tree care. There will be guided walks around the orchard and traditional craft demonstrations. There will also be lots of conservation groups and local craftspeople.
