Hedgehog Covered in MUD! Dug up by Road Workers in Harpenden - Hornbeam Wood Hedgehog Sanctuary

Writer's picture: Hedgehog SanctuaryHedgehog Sanctuary

This is "MUD". A poor hedgehog that was hibernating by the road in Harpenden. It was rudely awoken by Road Workers digging up the road! Covered in mud and cannot see anything with eyes and nose smothered in thick clay mud.

Thankfully the workers spotted the poor hedgehog and rushed him off to the vets. We collected the hedgehog soon after and this in the bath it received at Hornbeam Wood Hedgehog Sanctuary. Mud was also given a blow dry with a hair dryer and the eyes cleaned out with eye wash. 850g male hedgehog.
