Hornbeam Wood Hedgehog Sanctuary has been very kindly gifted a whole raft of superb Live Stream Equipment though a grant from The Harpenden Trust (https://www.theharpendentrust.org.uk)!
This is very big for us as we are a small Charity and would not have been able to buy this equipment without the help of The Harpenden Trust.
We are chuffed to bits with the new gear and have already been using it on some videos at our Youtube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnRQAjmKSWRLCU6BXVOuCXQ) and Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/HornbeamWood).
We will be using this equipment for educational and awareness videos, along with live updates, and videos from rescues and releases of hedgehogs in rehabilitation at the Sanctuary. We will also be able to host a 24/7 live stream of a few locations at the sanctuary. It's exciting stuff and will bring you all closer to the work we do at Hornbeam Wood Hedgehog Sanctuary.
We would like to thank The Harpenden Trust for this grant with a special thanks to Emma Deutrom and Jan Seager.
The collection of boxes you see in the above photos comprise this streaming rig which houses a microphone, the camera, an led light, an external battery pack, and the stabalising stand:
The following photo is of the Network Attached Storage unit (NAS) which is where all the media is stored. This unit also live stream directly to the various online streaming services without the need for a computer. It's got two very large hard drives that can hold ample data (although we have already filled up 1/3 of it from previous media). The data is also protected with a copy on to another hard drive.
